Booklists

Award-winning books, such as USBBY’s Outstanding International Books, are a great place to start when looking for quality literature to share in the classroom. We encourage you to begin at our Partners and Other Resources page to find just those types of texts. Our love for reading and sharing books has inspired us to create language and culture kits full of informative and inspiring books and other tools, which educators can check out for use with students.

Our list of book lists begins with our language and culture kits, which are carefully compiled by people who know literature and are also experts on a given area by cultural membership and careful study. Educators who check out a language and culture kit also receive information during a workshop on the history, language, and culture of the people who are profiled. Their recommendations, along with lists we’ve compiled from other sources, should keep you reading!
