The list of visiting children’s authors for the 2011Tucson Festival of Books is nearing completion. Make your plans to attend the festival on March 11th and 12th. Some of the authors already committed are David Wiesner, Rafael Lopez, Thacher Hurd, E. B. Lewis, Mike Lupica, Margaret Read McDonald, and Lauren Myracle. Developing a Love of Reading

“Nearly 30,000 children’s books reside in the basement of the UA Education building. They come from more than a hundred countries, in nearly two dozen languages.
The books have made readers out of future teachers, and we can expect them to pass on that love of reading to their students.”
