Joe Cepeda, an illustrator from California who works in acrylics and oils and crates illustrations for picturebooks highlighting Latinx experiences, such as Rafa Counts on Papá, The Swing and Sumo Libre. We are fortunate to host an exhibition of 20 original vibrant illustrations from his picturebooks, “Cepeda Stories: Everyone Has a Story to Tell,” in our studio through May 16. You are invited to an illustrator studio with Joe.

Joe will demonstrate his process of painting with acrylics and oils and share his strategies of moving from a book dummy to final art. Join us at the studio in Worlds of Words to interact with Joe and his art.

Ticketed parking is available in the Second St. Garage and metered parking is available on the street/surface level through the Passport Mobile Parking app. Worlds of Words Center is also located just off of the 2nd St. Modern Streetcar stop.
