When
Join us on Friday, September 11, 1:00 to 1:45 to meet Cynthia Leitich Smith, author of Here Come the Grandmas!, a new picturebook released on September 8. This heartwarming and exuberant book honors the blessings of every kind of grandmother in a child's life, by distinguished author Cynthia Leitich Smith (Muscogee) and illustrator Aphelandra (Oneida).
Whether a grandma is mom's mom or dad's mom, a great-grandma, a foster grandma or an honorary grandma, grandmothers bring a special kind of love wherever they go. Grandmas tell stories, teach skills and make memories, and no community is complete without their helpful hands, loving presence and good humor.
Cynthia will share her new book and why she wrote this story, invite children to consider the kinds of grandmothers in their lives and answer questions.
You must register for the webinar to attend and will receive a link to click on and join this exciting interaction with Cynthia Leitich Smith. The webinar will be recorded and those who register will receive that link to watch the recording if unable to join us live. Teachers who want to show the webinar live to their classes will be able to live-stream the webinar.
