An analysis of international books published in the United States and collected by Worlds of Words

Introduction
Our research group completed a detailed content analysis of a large data base of youth literature published or distributed in the U.S. during 2024 and 2025. International books are identified as books that were first published in another country before being coming to the U.S. The analysis can be accessed in the following ways:

Take an In-Depth Look
Worlds of Words and the United States Board on Books for Young People (USBBY) completed the first of two annual reports of the international youth literature published and/or distributed in the U.S. in 2024 and 2025. The collaborative project is expanded on in a special issue of WOW Stories, a free, online journal of Worlds of Words.
Data for the entire project is shared below as spreadsheets with interactive maps and can be used to augment the reports presented in the journal.
