Meet Mariana Ríos Ramírez and explore her new book Abuelita’s Gift: A Día de Muertos Story about a young girl who is eager to honor her Abuelita’s spirit on Día de Muertos but struggles to find the perfect gift. Mariana will introduce her new book and her process of writing this book, invite children to consider a gift they would give to a loved one, and answer questions.

Mariana Ríos Ramírez is a Mexican author living in South Carolina with her family and a rescue Chihuahua mix dog named Rogers. She loves writing books for children, especially stories about diversity, perseverance, friendship, and kindness. Besides writing, she’s passionate about photography.
