Books from Mexico will be on display for browsing and Anel Pérez, a specialist in children’s literature from UNAM in Mexico City, will share her observations of the most significant trends. Anel Pérez Martínez plays a key role in the Coordination of Cultural Dissemination at UNAM in Mexico City. She is an academic at the Institute of Aesthetic Research and is coordinator for “Children’s Literature: A Door to Reading” at the Institute of Philological Research in UNAM. Her work focuses on the history and theory of children’s literature. She has promoted reading through courses, workshops and programs for children and has published on art for children, the history of children’s literature and recommended books for children and young people. She also works with children’s literature and art for children in educational programs for museums.
