Resplandor International and the Worlds of Words Center are pleased to announce Dr. Steve Przymus as the Richard Ruiz Scholar in Residence for 2022. Dr. Przymus is an assistant professor of Educational Linguistics and Bilingual education at Texas Christian University.
We will introduce Dr. Przymus by Zoom to the UArizona community. This will be followed by a virtual presentation by Dr. Przymus to the public. The title of his talk is: “The Ontological Status of Languaging: Why We Separate Languages in Bilingual Education and Why We Should Stop.”

Virtual presentation by Dr. Steve Przymus, 2022 Richard Ruiz Scholar-in-Residence
Dr. Przymus will provide an international presence for collaborating institutions in the greater community of Guanajuato, México. The goal of the residency is to expand intercultural understandings and global perspectives through the use of high quality, culturally authentic international literature. The scholar will also work with university students who are part of the Verano en México summer study abroad program. He will also engage students and families at Resplandor International.
