Ah, Gus, we have redited the summary to reflect the book thanks to your comment.
The description above is completely wrong, and this book is about legendary owls and the Ga’Hoole tree. I’ve switched out of the pirate mood for my final selection. This book, The Shattering, is about the The Guardians of Ga’hoole. They are a group of brave owls that can talk. Right now they are recovering from a recent attack from The Pure Ones, a group of evil owls. I love this series because I like the characters of the owls. I like how thoroughly the author describes everything. There is also a movie, but it leaves out a lot of detail. This book is not so much an adult book, but kids will really enjoy it.
