Become wise.

Poet and activist Alice Walker personifies the power and wanton devastation of war in this evocative poem.

The title of this book evokes comments even before the poem is read. Is war ever a good idea? Children will want to discuss the topic prior to reading the book. Afterwards the students will want to respond to questions like – before we read the book, what did you think it would be about? Now we have read it, what do you think it is about?
